Al Ain Hospital’s Dermatology Department provides outstanding care to adults and children with various skin conditions.
Patients are seen in the following locations: the Dermatology Clinic, the In-patient units for consulting services, or the Emergency Medicine and Trauma Centre.
The Dermatology Clinic has individual examination rooms which are well equipped with therapeutic modalities such as Ultraviolet Light Therapy, Cryotherapy and Electrocautery.
The conditions treated vary from psoriasis, allergic dermatitis, tumours, infections of the skin, and severe reactions to medicines such as toxic epidermal necrolysis. Doctors offer expertise in practically all the specialist areas within the field of dermatology, including skin oncology, dermatologic surgery, phototherapy, laser and cosmetic surgery, alopecia, skin ulcers, wound management, paediatric dermatology, geriatric dermatology, sexually transmitted diseases and AIDS, and tropical dermatology.
The Dermatology department is open to patients on weekdays from 8.00 am to 4.00 pm. An on-call dermatologist is available to manage emergency cases during holiday times. New patients are referred from hospital wards and units, as well as the primary healthcare centres.
