Daman - National Health Insurance Company
National Health Insurance Company - Daman, is the first specialized national health insurance company to be formed in the United Arab Emirates. Daman was established in September 2005 by Executive Decree No. 39-2005. Munich Re was named the strategic partner of Daman, a venture representing a milestone in the history of health care for the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the UAE. Daman was established by the Abu Dhabi Government to provide the compulsory health insurance plan for expatriates and will have exclusive access to the public providers in Abu Dhabi.
