Welcome to Al Ain Hospital
Al Ain Hospital, a highly specialised acute care and emergency hospital with 412 beds and 30 medical departments and divisions, is one of the two major hospitals in the Al Ain region of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi belonging to the health system of the Abu Dhabi Health Services Company SEHA (www.seha.ae). The hospital provides a wide range of general and specialist clinical services. It is also the base for medical education, training and research for two teaching hospitals from Europe and the UAE.
On the basis of an agreement with SEHA, the leading European health specialists Vienna Medical University and VAMED have been managing Al Ain Hospital since June 2007.
We welcome nationals of the Emirates and the Gulf countries in our hospital as well as all expatriates from the larger Al Ain region. Our highly qualified team, comprising more than 40 nationalities, has a high degree of intercultural awareness and is sensitive to the customs and traditions of all of its patients from all over the world.

Patients at Al Ain Hospital benefit from innovative findings in medical research at an early stage. Our departments work very closely with the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at the UAE University and the medical directors of the partner clinics of Vienna Medical University and its teaching hospital with the aim of introducing new medicines and treatments, such as gentler diagnostic methods or new minimally invasive or computer-assisted surgical techniques.

Opening new operating theater
The Al Ain Hospital yesterday announced the installation of a new state of the art operating theater which will be in full operation in six weeks. Manufactured and assembled mostly in Germany then shipped to Al Ain, the 35 ton theater was lowered onto its foundation yesterday as hospital administrators, doctors and staff looked on. [...more]
